About Amy Purdy
Amy Purdy is an American para-snowboarder, actress, model, and motivational speaker who lost both legs below the knee at age 19 due to bacterial meningitis. Despite this life-altering challenge, she went on to become one of the most decorated Paralympic snowboarders in history, winning multiple medals including a bronze at the 2014 Sochi Winter Paralympics. She co-founded Adaptive Action Sports, an organization helping youth with physical disabilities get involved in action sports.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain — adversity is an invitation to reimagine your limits and design a life beyond them.
