James E. Faust (1920–2007) was an American religious leader who served as Second Counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1995 until his death. He was a lawyer, a Democratic politician in Utah, and a deeply respected apostle known for his gentle wisdom and spiritual depth. He was ordained an apostle in 1978 and served the church for decades with humility and quiet strength.
